How FBA Prep Works at Our Riverside Facility
Inventory arrives at our dock either via container drayage from the Port of Long Beach (55 miles) or from your own shipping arrangements. Here is the prep workflow:

We unload your shipment, count every unit against the packing list, and flag discrepancies within 2–4 working hours.

Prep Assignment
Each SKU gets a prep plan based on Amazon’s current 2026 category requirements: labeling, bagging, wrapping, or bundling.

Labeling & Packaging
FNSKU labels printed and applied. Poly-bags sealed. Bundles assembled. Each unit inspected before packing into cartons.

Carton Building & Forwarding
Prepped units packed into Amazon-compliant cartons. Carton labels applied. SPD shipments dispatched to ONT8, LGB8, SNA4, or any assigned FC.
Total prep turnaround: 1–2 days from receiving to dispatch for standard orders.

Does Amazon Still Offer Its Own FBA Prep Service?
No. Amazon discontinued its in-house prep service in January 2026. Sellers must now use a third-party prep center or handle prep themselves before shipping to FBA. ARDI’s Riverside facility provides all prep services that Amazon previously offered.
What Is FNSKU Labeling and Why Do I Need It?
FNSKU is Amazon’s unique barcode that ties a product to your seller account. Every unit sent to FBA must have an FNSKU label covering the manufacturer barcode. Without it, Amazon rejects the shipment or commingles your inventory with other sellers’ stock.
How Fast Can You Prep My Inventory?
Standard turnaround is 1–2 business days from receiving. For urgent orders under 500 units, same-day prep is available. Larger shipments (full container loads) take 2–3 days including unloading and quality inspection.
Do You Handle Online Arbitrage or Book Prep?
Yes. We prep online arbitrage (OA) shipments and book inventory. OA prep includes removing retail packaging, applying FNSKU labels, and poly-bagging per Amazon’s category requirements. Book prep includes labeling and condition verification.
What Happens If My Cargo Is Damaged During Prep?
